Acetic acid 80‑99.5% (CAS 64‑19‑7) from Global Optimals is a key reagent for the textile industry in Uzbekistan. At 80‑99.5% purity it provides a stable pH ≈ 2.5‑3.0 required for neutralizing alkaline baths and fixing dyes during the dyeing of nylon, wool and leather. The acid’s ability to form acetate salts makes it valuable in pretreatment steps where it softens fibers and improves their affinity for subsequent dyes. In reactive dyeing of cotton, acetic acid controls the concentration of free ions, enhancing dye uptake and reducing the risk of uneven spots. For synthetic fibers such as polyester, it is used in thermally‑stable processes to promote a more uniform distribution of dye molecules across the filament. The high grade reduces precipitate formation and preserves colour brilliance, improving final product quality. The product is supplied in sealed 200 L drums with a complete documentation package: Technical Data Sheet (TDS), Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Certificate of Analysis (COA). For storage, keep the acid in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and use personal protective equipment – gloves, goggles and rubber boots. When diluted to 5‑10% it becomes a working solution suitable for fabric rinsing, colour stabilization and controlling acetate salt levels in finishing operations. Such diluted solutions are also employed in soft‑finish treatments, where they help maintain tensile strength while providing a smooth hand feel. Acetic acid is compatible with common alkaline agents such as sodium or potassium hydroxide and can be combined with surfactants without causing unwanted precipitation, allowing formulation of integrated processing baths. Acetic acid should be stored in a dry, well‑ventilated area, shielded from direct sunlight and heat sources. Recommended storage temperature is between +5 °C and +25 °C, with moisture protection to prevent corrosion of metal drums. Shelf life is typically 12 months provided the packaging remains intact. Use protective gloves, goggles and adequate ventilation during handling, avoid skin contact and inhalation of vapours. Replace any drum showing signs of damage.
